The Improvement Practice helps organisations achieve business performance improvement.  We work with you and your team to learn and implement the skills, tools and techniques of improvement. Our focus is Real Solutions for Real Issues.

Our philosophy is to help you become self sufficient in running your own, sustainable, continuous improvement process. Working with all levels of the organisation, our team will help you identify potential leaders from within who can be developed to support sustainable improvement.  We train and mentor them in the necessary tools and techniques to deal with the issues.

Typically we start with a brief assessment of the business, its processes and the issues it faces – changing markets, rising costs or production losses for example.

We then use this analysis, with your team, and draw up a plan to meet your organisational needs in terms of continuous improvement that will support the day-to-day activities.  A ‘one size fits all’ approach does not work and so we work with you to adopt the appropriate principles to fit your organisations circumstances, style and requirements.

Our approach:

  • is practical and hands-on
  • uses minimal classroom style teaching

This stage ensures you gain the benefits from the improvements as quickly as possible, whilst your organisation learns.

For a more thorough breakdown of our approach, visit our Lean Training page or if you are new to the world of Continuous Improvement, check out our Improvement Terms Glossary page

Our philosophy is to use a common sense approach to solving issues using the most appropriate tool or technique for the problem at hand.  This may be from the lean, six sigma or other tool sets but most importantly it should be the best for your business and circumstances.
